The "Buka" file, SPAK officially takes Arben Ahmetaj as a defendant

The Special Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations into the privatization file of the former "Buka" factory, including the investigations into the former Deputy Prime Minister, Arben Ahmetaj.

SPAK has officially taken Ahmetaj as a defendant in the case and the accusation has been communicated to his lawyer.

Ahmetaj is accused of "abuse of duty" in connection with the affair that caused a damage of 7 billion lek to the state.

Earlier, Ahmetaj declared on the run that in the procedure for the privatization of the bread factory in the '5 May' area in Tirana, he protected the interests of the state and did not violate his duty.

He described the new investigation against him as the second act of the tragedy-comedy of political justice.
