Elmar Brok: Change in Albania is necessary, Rama turned the country into a drug

CDI Vice President Elmar Brok says that Albania will not be part of the EU in 2030.

Invited to the international conference organized by LDK on the topic "Global She", Brok adds that the reason is that Prime Minister Edi Rama has turned Albania into a narco-state.

Brok : Many women I have known for years show that this country has strong women: Albana, Jozefina, Jorida.
I encourage you to modernize your country, and I strongly believe that with the return of Mr. Berisha to the top, he will once again give you the opportunity to bring about the necessary change and reforms for equal rights.
We need more women in politics, because only then can we achieve the right balance. We need a more feminine foreign policy, because today, when women are absent from foreign policy, sensitivity, inclusion and long-term vision are also missing. Women need to be more involved, because historically they have not had the space they deserve.
I also strongly believe that women should not only be seen as the classic support of the family, but should also aim for the top of society. They should be ministers of technology, of the economy, and lead the most important sectors of development. I am convinced that in the new government, the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Technology will be women, and this is the right way forward: not just praising women with words, but giving them real responsibilities, high-level leadership positions.
In my country, for 16 years, we have had a woman as Chancellor, Angela Merkel. She faced challenges, obstacles and crises, but she also brought successes and concrete results. Europe and Germany are facing great challenges today, but no one can deny her important role in protecting institutions and economic stability in difficult times.
Angela Merkel showed that women can lead successfully at any level.
Today, on this very special day, we are also on the day of Pope Francis' funeral. I had the privilege of meeting him twice and I can say with conviction that we need a society that is inspired by the values for which he worked: justice, solidarity and care for the weak, and not just to deal with economic problems.
We need to build a just society, where everyone has their place, but where everyone has the opportunity to contribute equally. Only if society has a sensitivity to social justice can we solve our problems.
We can be more successful than the socialists, because we know the right economic instruments. In Germany, whenever the socialists have failed, people have turned to the conservatives and Christian Democrats to grow the economy, and this was the case even after three years of severe crises.
Economic success is the foundation of a better life. It is only ensured when politics focuses on real and sustainable development.

That is why I strongly believe that the women of the Democratic Party, in our political family, can bring the right balance and lead this change.
I am convinced that you will succeed.
Let me add something else: during these days I have heard the statements of Edi Rama, who says that he will take Albania to Europe.
But he has forgotten the promises he made to the citizens. Albania has not met the conditions for membership in the European Union, and with the policies of a narco-state, I am sure that in 2030 Albania will not be a member of the EU.
Change is necessary: in Albania, in Europe, in our Party. As a Christian Democrat, as part of the European People's Party, I believe that change is possible.
Today we have in the EU three main positions divided like this: the head of the European Council is a male socialist, but the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is a woman from the EPP, and also the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, is another woman from the EPP.
This shows that we are a modern party that supports women not only with words, but also with deeds.
