The Supreme Court dismisses Salianj's request for suspension of the sentence

The Supreme Court rejected the request of the democratic deputy Ervin Salianji for the suspension of the prison sentence, leaving in effect the decision of the Appeal for the former democratic deputy.
The three judges, Sokol Binaj, Sandër Simoni and Ilir Panda, refused the release of Salianj, who will continue to stay in the prison of Fier, where he has to serve the sentence of 1 year in prison, given by the Court of Appeal with General Jurisdiction.
The court has decided, "the rejection of the request submitted by the petitioner Ervin Salianji, for the suspension of decision no. 2900 dated 18.12.2019, of the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana, left in force with the decision no. 30-2024-6822, dated 26.09.2024 of the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, Tirana"".
