Investigations for false declaration, the mayor of Has remains in office

The Decriminalization Section at the General Prosecutor's Office has completed the verification of the mayor of Has, Miftar Dauti.

According to the verification, the prosecutor's office found that he was convicted during communism for leaving the concentration camps and also changed his generalships, but these do not constitute a reason for his mandate to be terminated.

Against Dauti, SPAK has launched an investigation for false declaration of forms after a complaint to the Special Prosecutor's Office that he was convicted in Kosovo and Serbia, accusations which seem not to have been proven.

After these findings, his mandate is expected to be confirmed by the CEC.
