Tirana Incinerator, SPAK files complaint against 8 defendants, seeks 4 years in

The Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime has filed a complaint against the defendants in the Tirana incinerator case. SPAK requested 26 years in prison for the eight defendants.

4 years in prison were requested for former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka, but due to the shortened trial, the sentence will be reduced to 2.8 years.

For Bledar Karolin, 4 years in prison with a shortened sentence of 2.8 years was requested; for Fatjon Murati, 4 years in prison (with a shortened sentence of 2.8 years); for Taulant Tushe, 4 years in prison (with a shortened sentence of 2.8 years), and for Namik Simixhiu, 4 years in prison (with a shortened sentence of 2.8 years).

SPAK also requested a sentence of 2 years in prison for Valbona Ballgjini, which is converted into probation with a summary trial; 2 years in prison for Sidita Kopliku, which is also converted into probation with a summary trial, and 2 years in prison for Jetmir Llapaj, with a summary trial, which is converted into probation.

For the eight defendants in this case, the prosecution requested that they not exercise any public function for 5 years, with SPAK requesting that they be found guilty of abuse of office.
