The Council of Albanian Ambassadors supports the UN resolution on the Srebrenica

The Council of Albanian Ambassadors expresses clear support for the latest resolution 78/282 of the United Nations, which condemns any denial of the Srebrenica genocide.

"We stand in solidarity with the survivors and the families of the victims. The memory of Srebrenica should serve as a sharp reminder of our collective responsibility to prevent such tragedies in the future," the statement said.

"By adopting this Resolution and designating July 11 as the "International Day of Reflection and Remembrance of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica", the International Community reaffirmed its commitment to promote peace, reconciliation and the protection of human rights," the statement continued.

In the reaction of the Council of Albanian Ambassadors, it is also said that it is time to approve a resolution that also condemns the Serbian genocide in Kosovo.

"The Council of Albanian Ambassadors considers the adoption of this Resolution as an important step towards the advancement of stability, security and peace in our region. Furthermore, we encourage all parties, inside and outside Albania, to engage in the preparation and adoption of a resolution that recognizes and condemns the Serbian genocide in Kosovo."
