In prison for the Fier incinerator, the hearing for Alqi Bllako is postponed

The trial for former Socialist MP Alqi Blako has been postponed. He is in prison for the so-called Fier incinerator affair.

Blako has requested several times to change the measure, as he claims that the legal conditions for an extreme security measure such as 'prison arrest' do not exist.

Blako is accused of criminal abuse of office and passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials.

The document states that at the time he served as General Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, in cooperation with other persons, he intentionally committed illegal actions during the procedure of land expropriation in the construction of the Fier incinerator, causing a damage of 16,288,344 ALL.

It is also pointed out that Blako has favored the concessionary company "Integrated Technology Waste Treatment", against irregular benefits, in the amount of 14,964,900.
