Wanted by SPAK, the former director of the Police, Henerigert Mitri, surrenders
The former director of the Lezha Police, Henerigert Mitri, wanted by SPAK for the "Revanshi" file, surrendered today to the Tirana Police.
According to SPAK, Mitri managed the cultivation of cannabis in Lezhë and organized gambling activities.
Mitrit was discovered during the operation 'Revanshi' by SPAK in May of this year.
He was assigned the measure of personal security "arrest in prison", suspected of committing criminal offenses "cultivation of narcotic plants, carried out in collaboration", "structured criminal group", "participation in a structured criminal group", "passive corruption of persons who exercise public functions", "organization or exercise of gambling activity in violation of the law" and "abuse of duty".
Operation "Revenge"
According to SPAK's official announcement, 7 structured criminal groups were hit and 50 arrest warrants were signed for crime bosses and members of their criminal groups. Assets worth 4.5 million euros were also seized, including jewelry and expensive watches, gold, euro cash, firearms, luxury armored vehicles, camera surveillance systems, poker table, etc.
According to SPAK, at the center of the criminal groups was that of the much-wanted Ervis Martinaj, who was in alliance with the criminal group operating in the city of Lezha led by former MP Arben Ndoka. It is known that in the area of Fushë-Kruja, the group of Durim Bami was operating, which was in open conflict with the group of Martinaj and Ndoka. Bam's group made an alliance with a group opposed to Martinaj led by Leonard Duka and Fatmir Hyseni, persons with significant criminal records, with the aim of killing Martinaj and Ndoka and other members of these criminal groups.
Citizens Emiljano Shullazi and A. Avdylaj also come to the aid of the criminal groups led by Ervis Martinaj and Arben Ndoka, who, although in custody, help in the execution of Durim Bami's murder. The investigations have evidenced the existence of another criminal group led by Edison Reçi. This citizen organized the murder of Preng Gjin with the intention of revenge. From the announcement of the SPAK, the involvement in the criminal events was also evidenced by a former deputy, Arben Ndoka, four police officers; the director of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate, Henerigert Mitri, RENEA-S officers, Altin Morina and the officer with the initials AP.
According to SPAK, Mitri together with the former employee of the border police Klodjan Shahini and other persons led the criminal activity of cultivating narcotics in the district of Lezha. Also, together with Preng Gjini, currently under arrest for another investigation, they organized the illegal activity of gambling in Lezhë. During the execution of the decisions of GJKKO, around 3 million euros in cash were found and seized as material evidence in the apartment of Ervis Doçi, otherwise known as Visi i Pojë.
