One day before the partial elections in Himare, the police announced the plan of measures for the smooth running of the election process.

According to the police announcement, 52 police officers are involved in this process and will provide the election materials in the 36 voting centers.

Police notification:

In the Himarë Police Station, the Director for Public Order and Security and the Head of the Public Security Department in the General Directorate of the State Police, together with the Deputy Director for Public Order and Security in the Vlorë DVP and the Head of the Police Station Himarë, conducted the briefing with the Police officers engaged in tasks in the election process. Police employees were informed of the tasks that each of them has for the preservation of voting centers and materials, as well as the measures taken in order to guarantee public order and safety and the smooth running of the process during the election process on August 04, 2024.

All police personnel engaged in tasks during the election process are trained for the tasks that the State Police has and performs during the election process.

The list of police officers who will be engaged in the election process has been approved by the CEC.

In this election process, 52 police officers are engaged who will provide the election materials in the 36 voting centers.

In this context, we appeal to all citizens and subjects involved in this process to fully respect all legal obligations imposed by the Electoral Code and other laws.

Also, the State Police guarantees the citizens that it has taken all measures so that their constitutional right to elect the leader of the local government is exercised freely, calmly, intact and not intimidated by anyone.

The structures of the Local Directorate of the Vlora Police and the Himar Police Station are very determined and committed to keeping the entire territory under complete control, with the sole purpose of the rule of law.
