The former employee of the Municipality of Tirana, Milena Deraj was left in prison after defrauding the Ferracaku family by taking 340,000 euros and in exchange she would help them in the Velipoja Massacre trial.

Journalist Eni Ferhati also spoke about this issue, who revealed new details about Milena Deraj's file. Invited to "Euroneës Albania", Ferhati said that Deraj accidentally connected with a member of the Ferracaku family in the Astir area and took the money in different installments with the claim that he would find a lawyer who would remove the life imprisonment.

However, after being rejected by several lawyers, including former prosecutor Arjan Ndoj, Deraj says that he was taken hostage in Shkodër by members of the Ferracaku family at gunpoint to return the money.

"It was known quite by chance with members of the Ferracaku family, who had a court process and sought to avoid the charge of life imprisonment for some members of this family. She came into casual contact in the Astir area with a member of the Ferrracaku family, asking her for such a large sum to find a lawyer."

"According to the testimony of Milena Deraj, she went and contacted the former prosecutor Arjan Ndoj, who is already practicing the profession of lawyer, but Mr. Ndoj refused to take this case, after seeing the state of the acts and the evidence he has administered the prosecution regarding the charge of murder for citizens Hasan Abedin and Shyqiri Ferracaku, as well as one of their nephews."

"After receiving the money in several installments and not finding a lawyer to provide legal protection, she fell prey to this family's threats. According to her, she was taken hostage in Shkodër, where they also made a video of her. She was held throughout time under the threat of a gun but without violating him", said Ferhati.
