Violent fight between Albanians and Egyptians in Italy, 7 injured

In the night between Saturday (date 7) and Sunday 8 September 2024, a violent fight took place in Via Pozzone in Stradella, leaving seven people injured, one of them in a serious condition.

The fight happened around midnight and required medical and police intervention at the scene, who are currently working to reconstruct the dynamics of the event and identify the perpetrators.

Seven injured, a 25-year-old wounded with a knife

The episode seems to have arisen from a settlement between two groups of people, apparently of Egyptian and Albanian nationality. The most seriously injured is a 25-year-old Albanian, a resident of Montu Beccaria, wounded by a knife and transported with the yellow code to the Stradella hospital, where he was admitted with a 30-day prognosis.

Six other people were injured, all of Egyptian nationality and aged between 22 and 53: they were transported to different hospital facilities (Pavia, Voghera, Piacenza and Cremona). Although out of danger, they suffered cuts and bruises. Initial investigations show that they may belong to a single family group.

Investigations are underway

The Carabinieri are conducting further investigations to understand the causes of this violent collision. It is suspected that many of those involved managed to escape before the arrival of the police and rescue forces, making the reconstruction of the events more complex./ Prima Pavia/
