The agreement with Minsk is suspended, Belarusians can no longer enter Albania

The government has suspended the reciprocal agreement with Belarus for visa-free movement of citizens.

Decision:

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 30 of Law No. 43/2016, “On International Agreements in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED:

1. Suspension of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the Republic of Belarus on the mutual abolition of visa requirements, approved by decision no. 152, dated 19.2.2020, of the Council of Ministers.

2. Decision No. 295, dated 15.5.2024, of the Council of Ministers, “On the partial suspension of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the Republic of Belarus, on the mutual abolition of visa requirements”, is repealed.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
