The 40-year-old Albanian, who is accused of attempted murder, appeared before the Vienna Regional Court on Tuesday.

According to the indictment, the Albanian from Kosovo is said to have stood in a park in front of the house of his ex-girlfriend from North Macedonia, who lives in Liesing - Vienna, and then stabbed her.

This act happened a day before he had communication with his ex-girlfriend, telling her that: ' You will not live to see your birthday on November 5. Your brother will put flowers on your grave'.

In the indictment it is said that the Albanian attacked him from behind in the yard and stabbed him twelve times in the neck, neck, face and back.

When the blade came off, the Albanian grabbed a screwdriver and hit him with it 30 more times. The woman fought back, and at one point even managed to break away and run outside towards the sidewalk, where the defendant caught her and attacked her again', the indictment states.
