'Barber's House' in Laknas, two brothers arrested, one OSHEE

A marijuana house has been discovered in Laknas by police. Two brothers who were cultivating the plants in the premises of this house have been arrested.

The OSHEE employee was also arrested, as he is suspected of having favored this criminal activity by not recording the illegal electricity connection.

"As part of the work to prevent and combat criminal activities in the field of narcotics, as well as based on information provided by police intelligence, the services of Police Commissariat No. 5 finalized the police operation codenamed "Llamba", within which a residence was identified in the village of Laknas, adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants, where lighting and ventilation equipment had been installed for their growth, while electricity was being obtained illegally.

During the operation, the 2 suspected perpetrators of this criminal activity, who were cultivating the plants in the premises of this apartment, were arrested, specifically citizens Sh. M., 38 years old and FM, 28 years old.

Also, following the actions, their father, citizen ZM, 66 years old, was released on bail, as it is suspected that he was aware of this illegal activity and had not reported it.

Following the investigation, the OSHEE employee, citizen EP, 29 years old, was also arrested for abuse of office, as he is suspected of having favored this criminal activity by not recording the illegal electricity connection.

During the search of the apartment, as material evidence, the following were seized: 20 Cannabis Sativa narcotic plants, approximately 60 cm tall, a quantity of processed cannabis narcotics, 5 special lamps for lighting and heating, 2 filters for cleaning odors, 3 cooling fans, 2 devices for measuring and regulating temperature, and other electrical equipment used for indoor cultivation.

"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana for further action ," the police announced.
