Cardiologist Elton Qeli said that with the arrival of heat, people should be more careful with the foods they consume.

He said that alcohol and sugary drinks should be used as little as possible, while he advised the consumption of meals with fruits and vegetables of the season as well as abundant water consumption.

"Subjects that can be affected by high temperatures may not always have genuine symptoms that can be related to high temperatures. Sometimes they may have increased sweating, headache, dizziness, fainting and sometimes they may faint. The degree of symptoms is very relative depending on the person," said the cardiologist.

He also gave some advice regarding the foods we eat.

"They must eat regularly, according to normal meals, they must consume water, the consumption of fruits and vegetables of the season is very important as they hold in themselves a quantity of water which is as important as simple water in the regulation of hydro-electrolytic balances in the organism, that is, of water and mineral salts. It is very important not to abuse it in terms of not being very overloaded meals but to eat regularly. Fluid and water consumption is very important. Many people also tend to consume alcohol and carbonated drinks, sugary drinks. These have negative effects on health", said the cardiologist for Euronews Albania.
