The Greek police in cooperation with the American DEA have hit a criminal group consisting of an Albanian family. During the operation, 585 kg 208 grams of cocaine, divided into 500 packages, were seized.
The Greek police tried to stop two vehicles in the area of Agia Triada and Neo Epivaton. One of them was detained while the other tried to leave by colliding with a police car and then with the fence of a building.
Both vehicles are rented. Inside two vehicles and in a residence, 500 packages with 585 kg 208 grams of cocaine, 7440 euros, 7 mobile phones, a metal detector and other objects were seized.
The operatives have arrested the head of the group, a 50-year-old Albanian, who trafficked cocaine from Latin America for distribution in Greece and Europe. His wife, 42 years old, and his two nephews, 33 and 21 years old, as well as a 35-year-old Greek, were also arrested.
