As part of the "Tarifa" operation, the police arrested a wanted 21-year-old man in Pogradec. The young man with the initials NC, was caught transporting 6 immigrants from third countries, against payments of 500-1000 euros/person to cross them to the border.

His accomplice, the citizen with the initials MH, was also taken into custody. The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Korçë, for further actions.

Police notification:

The coded police operation "Tarifa" continues, for cracking down on a case of providing assistance to foreign citizens for illegal border crossing. A citizen wanted as a suspected co-author of the transportation of 6 immigrants was arrested and put in handcuffs, against the sums of 500-1000 euros/person.

The services of the Pogradec Police Station, following the investigative and procedural actions, carried out in the framework of the coded police operation "Tarifa", developed on 30.03.2023, located, captured and put in handcuffs, in cooperation with the services of the Station of Kavajë Police, the wanted citizen NC, 21 years old, resident of Kavajë.

From the investigative actions so far, it appears that the 21-year-old cooperated with the MH citizen (arrested in the act during the "Tarifa" operation), for the transportation of 6 immigrants from third countries, against payments of 500-1000 euros/person, for the purpose of illegal crossing of the border, towards EU countries.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
