Hurricane "Milton" has hit the USA, and especially the Florida area, leaving 16 people dead so far.

Speaking to News 24 from America, the Albanian Endri Filipi has told more about the natural phenomenon that has hit the USA. 

Philip, who lives in Tampa, Florida, said they are used to hurricanes, as this area is often affected by these natural phenomena. He added that when the hurricane happened, he was 4 hours away from home and that there are still no lights on his property. 

"I left the house for 4 hours, because my mother is elderly. The lights also went out in my apartment. Even now we don't have lights here and we don't know when they will come. I live in Florida, I have lived here since 2001. We are used to hurricanes like this, but the winds were strong. There were downed trees, as well as flooding. There was more flooding at the beach. The bridges that lead to the beach are closed .

It will take some time for the roads to be cleared and the power to come. Most properties are insured and refunded. From what I heard, 16 people lost their lives. There are many Albanians in Florida, as it is a large area. As far as I know, there is no Albanian who has had consequences in his life from the hurricane. Such a hurricane had not been seen in Tampa since 1992. But, however, Florida is a beautiful area and I wouldn't trade it for any country ," said the Albanian.
