A powerful fire broke out this afternoon in the city of Shkodra.

The flames have included signs of clothes used in the 'Qafë Hardhi' neighborhood.

Numerous firefighting forces have been sent to the scene, while plumes of smoke have covered the city of Shkodra.

"Around 18:55, in the "Ndoc Mazi" neighborhood, a fire broke out in a market with used clothes. Firefighters together with the police immediately went to the scene.

Police services are evacuating residents from homes that are at risk of fire.

Firefighters are working intensively to extinguish the fire. The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is working to clarify the cause of the fire," the police announced in advance.
