Visited the floating power plants in Vlora accompanied by Balluk, Yuri Kim: They

The American Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, accompanied by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, conducted an inspection of the floating thermal power plants for the production of energy in Vlora.

The American ambassador said that if the power plants are functional, they will provide electricity for about 150 to 200 thousand homes per year.

" I am satisfied that Albania has this opportunity, they are of the same type as in Finland. In Europe we are seeing what is happening with Russia and Ukraine and we need to ensure that NATO allies can diversify their energy sources to be more independent. They don't look pretty, but what matters is that they work.

I was looking at the stats, if this works properly it should produce at least 114 megawatts. This can at least meet 12-15% of the country's electricity needs. In average terms, it means up to 150-200 thousand houses. We will continue to work closely to ensure that Albania has the energy it needs at this time ," said Kim.
