3 cannabis plantations discovered in Belgium, 5 Albanians arrested

Belgian authorities have discovered 3 marijuana plantations, for which 5 people with Albanian citizenship were arrested.

It is learned that around 1,700 marijuana plants were discovered in these plantations. It is further reported that the plants were found in Liège and Sprimont, Belgium.

Five checks were carried out on Thursday in Liège and Sprimont as part of a drug production case opened at the end of 2024 by investigators from the Secova local police area.

" Three active plantations were dismantled, totaling around 1,700 plants. Five people of Albanian origin were arrested, " the Liege prosecutor's office said in a statement. Three vehicles, around 5,000 euros, narcotics and packaging materials were also seized.
