A woman with the initials M.Zh., from Gushterica e Poshtme, Graçanica municipality, died after being brutally raped by her husband.
This was confirmed for Radio Free Europe by the director of the Emergency Center in Pristina, Naser Syla.
"Unfortunately, she passed away this morning. She had a brain hemorrhage from the severe injuries, and we couldn't operate on her in that condition. She was on the machine 24 hours a day," said Syla.
M.Zh., born in 1983, was transferred to Pristina from the Clinical Hospital Center in Graçanica, where she was admitted in a serious condition on the evening of July 31.
The Kosovo Police have confirmed that her husband with the initials D.Zh. has been stopped and that he has started investigations into this case.
