A 71-year-old man from Prishtina tried to commit suicide due to the pressure and blackmail allegedly done by his 41-year-old partner.

In connection with the case, investigations have been started by the Basic Prosecutor's Office of Prishtina, while it is suspected that through blackmail the 41-year-old woman also benefited from an amount of nearly 50 thousand euros.

"On 16.09.2024, the 41-year-old citizen was identified and arrested, who allegedly blackmailed a citizen into publishing some of his photos. Through blackmail, the suspect managed to get a large amount of money from the victim. With the decision of the prosecutor, the suspect was taken into custody", the announcement of the Kosovo Police states.

Referring to sources from the Prosecutor's Office of Pristina, it is reported that the suspected woman and the 71-year-old man had a close relationship, which they allegedly had months ago, but that the relationship was then terminated due to the blackmail that the 41-year-old woman began to exercise. .

According to reports, the 41-year-old forced the 71-year-old to give her large sums of money, blackmailing him that she would send the intimate photos to his family members.
