Kosovo police action in Zubin Potok, after the explosion in the north

A major action by the Kosovo Police forces took place on Saturday morning in the village of Varage in Zubin Potok, where the Ibër-Lepenc water channel was blown up the night before. The news was confirmed by the deputy director of the Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, who told KosovaPress that the police are carrying out raiding activities, but did not provide other details about the action.

At the moment, it is not known whether people have been arrested from this action or whether other evidence, such as weapons, has been found. This action came after the explosion that happened last night in the village of Varagë, which caused significant damage to the water drainage of Ibër-Lepenci.

The authorities have announced that 15 kilograms of explosives were used to destroy the channel. The police suspect that criminal gangs with the support of official Belgrade are behind the explosion in the north of Kosovo. Prime Minister Albin Kurti described this act as an attack orchestrated by Serbia.
