The Presidency of Kosovo responds to RMV for the incident with Osmani: Propaganda for political purposes
The Presidency of Kosovo has reacted to the report of the inspectors of the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) of North Macedonia, which cites that the airport services acted in a professional manner in the case of the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
The president insists that in no country in the world is the phone of the head of state taken for scanning and that North Macedonia has violated international rules with this action.
"In no country in the world is the head of state required to hand over his phone for scanning. In other countries, neither the personal luggage nor the personal bag of the head of state is checked, let alone the personal phone," the reaction says.
The Macedonian CAA has recommended that if anyone doubts the reliability of international standards, they should apply the same practice in one of the European international airports, to ensure their implementation.
Regarding this, the Presidency says that it has enough experience with other trips as well and there is no need to try because "nowhere, never, neither the personal bag, nor the suitcase, nor the telephone of the head of state have been subjected to control".
The presidency has reiterated that Osmani checked her bag and she passed the scanner.
"Any other statement is propaganda for political purposes. There is nothing professional in the conduct of the security that appears in front of the head of a state and blocks his movement after he has placed the bag in the scanner", it is further stated.
