The Istanbul court has sentenced the well-known soap opera actor, Adnan Koç, to 16 years and 8 months in prison.
He was arrested in 2018 in the city of Atasehir during an anti-drug operation, where he along with his brother and several others resisted during the action, in which case several law enforcement officers were injured.
According to the Turkish media " Sabah ", in addition to the accusation of drug trafficking, the court also convicted him of "attempted murder of a police officer". This is a serious accusation according to the Turkish criminal code, a detail which has aggravated the years of imprisonment.
Adnan Koç has played in many Turkish series, including "Sulejman the Magnificent" where he played the role of Behram Pasha, a series which has been broadcast in Kosovo and Albania.
