The last words Avicii said before ending her life at the age of 28

Swedish DJ Avicii killed himself on April 20, 2018, leaving behind a great deal of grief for people close to him and fans.

His latest diary entries, written before his suicide, will be published in Måns Mosesson's next book, "Tim - Avicii's Official Biography". The book will be published on January 18 and will detail his mental health and substance abuse problems.

Avicii, whose name was Tim Bergling, died in Muscat, Oman, when he was 28 years old. He used a glass bottle to commit suicide.

The author conducted conversations with his parents, Anki and Klas Bergling, as well as with family, friends and colleagues about his life and career. Records are from his rehabilitation and hospital stays for drug and alcohol abuse.

"I had a hard time accepting to never drink again, although I was strongly suggested by all the doctors to wait at least a year before drinking a beer." wrote the singer in his diary. "Of course, I did not listen to most of the doctors, I listened to those who said it would be good if I was careful. I was ignorant and naive and did a lap around the world, still on an endless tour - because once you did it, guess what? You start all over again. "Those days in the hospital were the most anxiety-free and stress-free days I can remember the last 6 years, they were my real vacation, no matter how depressing they may seem."

Avicii spent time at the Ibiza Calm rehabilitation center in 2015 after an intervention by his family. While there, he wrote about his pain.

For his new enlightenment, he wrote in his diary:

"I feel like I'm in a new predetermined way of being, which is something new and a little scary. "It seemed like the fear of the last two days was wreaking havoc on me, but I remember the advice to focus on my breathing."

Just the day before his death, an Avicii acquaintance he had met in Oman contacted the DJ's father because he was concerned about his meditations. The friend explained to his father that he was not eating or talking. This person later called Avicii's father to inform him of his son's suicide.

The last message in Avicii's diary was:

"The shedding of the soul is the last bond, before it resumes!"
