French President Emmanuel Macron has given optimistic signals about the stalemate between Bulgaria and northern Macedonia.
Klan Macedonia reports that during the NATO Summit in Madrid, Macron stated that a compromise was found between the two Macedonian and Bulgarian governments, to pave the way for the opening of negotiations for Tirana and Skopje.
According to the French president, the two governments have agreed on the negotiating framework with which Skopje will conduct negotiations to join the European Union.
"I think we have found a compromise over the Bulgaria-Northern Macedonia dispute over the EU accession negotiating framework ," Macron told a NATO summit in Madrid.
