Meeting of Kosovo and Serbian Experts on Thursday

The next expert meeting within the political dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo will be held on Thursday, 27 August, reported Radio Free Europe (RFE).

This was confirmed by the European Union spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy Nabila Masrali, who stated that the dialogue, after continuing at the highest level in July, was being continued by a series of meetings at the expert level.

This will be the third meeting at the expert level, headed on behalf of the Belgrade side by Marko Djuric, and the Pristina delegation is led by Skender Hiseni. Within the dialogue they already met in Brussels on two occasions in July, discussing the disappeared and displaced persons as well as economic issues.

Marko Djuric, head of the government’s Office for Kosovo, said for Pink TV that in Brussels, they would now as well discuss the economic cooperation and the issue of the disappeared and displaced, and also that they will take the opportunity to hear the EU’s standpoint on the talks between Belgrade and Pristina which should be held in Washington on 4 September.

The dialogue on normalizing relations between Serbia and Kosovo which is being led with the intermediary of the EU was, after 20 months of a hold-up, continued in mid-July when Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti met in Brussels.

The next meeting on a political level has been announced for 7 September.
