Montenegrin President Proposes Foundation of Orthodox Church of Montenegro

Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic emphasized that the foundation of Orthodox Church of Montenegro without the national prefix would end the division of orthodox believers in Montenegro.

He called Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral of Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) to be “a part of the solution”.

Djukanovic said that “current Montenegro’s right to start the operation of reinstituting the autonomous Montenegrin church is undisputable and this will undoubtedly happen”.
