NATO Admiral Foggo: Do Not Delay The Establishment of Government

Political parties, particularly the ones that have won the elections, should establish the new Government without delays, the commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Admiral James Foggo said after the KFOR command hand-over ceremony.

Major General Lorenzo D’Addario handed over KFOR’s command to the new commander, Major General Michele Risi.

During the ceremony, Major General D’Aaddario sad that it was a privilege for him to serve in Kosovo. He also thanked all those that have supported him during the service with KFOR.

Meanwhile, President Hashim Thaçi was quoted as saying, “Major General D’Addario allow me to thank you for the work you have done. Your commitment has made the lives of citizens better. I hope you will continue to give the same support. Even after 20 years, KFOR continues to be one of the organizations that enjoys people’s trust in Kosovo as a result of your professional work. Cooperation, support, trust, and peace are values that have been created with KFOR.”

Addressing a press conference after the ceremony, Admiral Foggo said, “You have the chance to establish a new Government. Elections were free and we have heard a lot of good things. I call upon the people of Kosovo and newly elected officials to push this country towards stability and prosperity.”
