Nobel Laureate Handke Declared Persona Non Grata in Kosovo, Sarajevo

Austrian writer and this year’s Nobel Prize laureate for literature Peter Handke has been declared persona non-grata in Pristina.

This decision was made by outgoing Kosovo foreign minister Behgjet Pacolli who stated as a related reason that Handke denied crimes committed in Kosovo by the regime of Slobodan Milosevic.

Handke was declared undesirable in the Sarajevo canton as well. The decision was taken by the assembly of that canton, at the initiative of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA).
