PM Mitsotakis warns of a possible Greek veto on Albania’s EU accession

Greece will not support the launching of European Union (EU) accession talks with Albania until the northern neighbor shows “tangible” results in its treatment of the ethnic Greek minority, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Sunday as reported by Greek media.

He also said to have communicated this stance to the French President, German Chancellor and Dutch PM in meetings he had had with the said leaders. Mitsotakis made these remarks while speaking at the Thessaloniki International Fair 2019.
