Trump nominates new Ambassador to Albania

United States’ President Donald Trump has nominated Yuri Kim as the new U.S. Ambassador to Albania, newspapers report. She will have to pass a U.S. Senate Foreign Committee hearing before taking charge of the new appointment.

Kim is a senior Foreign Service officer who has worked on key foreign policy and national security challenges across multiple regions. She was a member of the U.S. delegation in the six-party talks with North Korea, as well as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of State in 2015-2017. Kim has held numerous other diplomatic posts.
