Von Cramon: Kosovo, Serbia Cannot Join the EU without Mutual Recognition

Constituent meeting of the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Agreement

Rapporteur for Kosovo in European Parliament Viola von Cramon said that without the agreement on mutual recognition neither Kosovo nor Serbia could not join the EU.

She said in an interview for Radio Free Europe (RFE) that the fact that Kosovo and Serbia continued the dialogue was very important, and that the final goal of Kosovo should be European integration.

Von Cramon said she hoped that in six months of the German chairing of the European Union, which started on July 1 this year, a green light would be given to visa liberalization for Kosovo.
