Balluku: Households that spend 5 thousand kWh, will pay the most expensive energy
After the government announced the restoration of electricity bills, Minister Belinda Balluku showed today the new way to apply for the price of energy.
Balluku said that those household customers who spend more than 5 thousand kWh, with luxury villas, will pay a higher price of electricity than other customers.
The Minister said that exceeding the band up to 5 thousand kWh does not justify being family.
"We will continue to apply the same price for the family subscriber, but if it will be consumption 700 or 800 KWH and we have identified family subscribers with 5000 KWH which is a figure that does not justify the word family but is also the right of each subscriber. They may have luxury villas, but they will pay at least a higher price than what is paid today by citizens who pay for basic necessities. "I will not say at market prices that this type of consumer would probably not be able to afford it either", said Balluku.
