Will Albania request Kosovo's membership in NATO? This is how Rama answers

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his speech at the joint conference in Skopje with the head of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg and the leaders of the region, emphasized that Albania is convinced that Kosovo should be helped to accelerate its integration into NATO.

" Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic direction is beyond any discussion, while the reluctance to recognize it by the EU and NATO countries is an echo of a past that is less and less relevant to the present that has brought challenges and requires more unity and strategic view" - said Rama.

Rama said that peace between Kosovo and Serbia can only be achieved through dialogue mediated by the European Union.

" It should not be forgotten that peace in the region is precious and why with its fragility. Strengthening is everyone's strategic objective and let's not forget that we are a multi-ethnic, multi-religious region and the negative impacts of conflicts are not excluded from the region, so we all must do our best not to take steps back. We remember that we have a past with wounds, blood and pain. We have never been better than today, but tomorrow we must be much better than today if we do not want tomorrow to be yesterday," said Prime Minister Rama.
