Rama-Farage, Bushati's Replies: The Advice of an Albanian Politician Doesn't Work in England

Rama-Farage, Bushati's Replies: The Advice of an Albanian Politician

Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati commented on the remote exchanges between Prime Minister Edi Rama and British MP Nigel Farage, who stated that Albanians in Great Britain are key actors in crime and that 1 in 50 Albanians there is in prison.

Invited to Euronews Albania, Bushati described as unacceptable the justification that British or other politicians make for the situation in their country by associating Albanians with crimes.

But on the other hand, he stressed, the British nation "will not care if a politician from Albania tells them about Brexit."

"I don't know the reasons why this kind of distant response is taking place. Farage and many others in the United Kingdom but also in important European capitals at certain moments try to justify themselves with the Albanian element, associating them with criminal acts and this is totally unacceptable."

At this point, any stance that may come from the Prime Minister or other authorities of the Albanian state has my full support, despite the fact that this support may not be implemented at all.

"On the other hand, I think it is not necessary to remind the United Kingdom if it is living a dark moment after BREXIT. This is an internal matter of the British. I do not think the British nation will care that a politician from Albania tells them about Brexit ," Bushati said.
