Jamarbër Malltezi's letter to the Special Court: I have been held in

Member of the Presidency and National Council of the Democratic Party of Albania, Jamarbër Malltezi, today showed a letter that he filed with the Special Court two weeks ago, as an addition to the request for the removal of the security measure. 

In his letter to the GJKKO, Malltezi emphasizes that he has been under house arrest for almost 20 months by order of Edi Rama and Taulant Balla, as part of a political process.

In the letter to the GJKKO, Malltezi states that the entire process is a political attack through extremely politicized bodies, in which SP activists appointed as OPGJ by Balla e Manja have also participated.

"In this farce, there is no criminal fact at all, there is no damage, there is only the return of the stolen item by the thief in the guise of the state to the hundreds of legitimate owners, and private development of private property by 3 of the owners' heirs as they have privately assessed, not forcibly evicting any of the 42 informal families that the problem had caused to live in difficult conditions in the ruins of the former club, but on the contrary, solving the housing problem of all those families," writes Malltezi in the letter to the Special Court.

Malltezi adds at the end of the letter that this entire fabrication, which was started by political orders, has neither a criminal fact nor a public issue, but only the return of stolen property and the development of private property.

"The three of us, developers of our ancestors' property, are proud that we returned the dignity of our ancestors by (i) respecting the legal owners, (ii) solving the housing problem of 42 informal families, (iii) donating to the community the best kindergarten and nursery school in the city, (iv) developing the area with great love not with skyscrapers but (v) hiring a dignified architect who created a sustainable community, (vi) creating the largest urban park in Tirana, (vii) with dozens of recreational areas and works of art ," emphasizes Malltezi.
