Kurti confirms participation in today's official dinner in Skopje

Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, will attend an official dinner in Skopje tonight with leaders of the Western Balkan countries. Kurti's participation in the meeting organized by Macedonian Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, has been confirmed by the government's spokesperson.

Kurti will also participate tomorrow in the first panel discussion, focusing on the European Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

Skopje will host today and tomorrow, the meeting between the leaders of the Western Balkans and the EU. The meeting will be attended by the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos. The talks at the meetings that will take place will focus on accelerating the implementation of the European Growth Plan for this region, the European Commission announced.

Leaders from Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Commissioner Kos will focus on key reforms to "unlock" the allocation of funds from the Growth Plan and bring tangible benefits to the citizens of the EU candidate countries before their accession to the bloc.

According to reports, the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans offers benefits to the countries in the region that are preparing for EU membership, and during the meeting, participants will review progress and discuss next steps.
