"My arrest is political"/ Meta: SPAK is a tool of the government! Albanian democracy in danger!

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, spoke out about the decision of the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) and the way in which justice is being used as a political tool to punish opponents.

In a statement to the media, Meta strongly denounces a politically orchestrated process, where SPAK and the justice structures have become tools of the government to silence the opposition and diminish free political voices. He emphasizes that his arrest and detention are part of a campaign of intimidation against important opposition figures, and calls on internationals to carefully monitor this process.

This is an appeal for transparency, impartial justice, and a warning about the destabilization of Albanian democracy.

Immediately after I spoke with Mr. Tedi Blushi, so that he could emphasize my 7 main positions that rejected SPAK's request, in a press conference, which that afternoon was completely censored by television, the telephone communication signal in prison 313 also disappeared, to continue throughout the next day (real blackout).

I believe the main reason had to do with my post, that at 11:00 the next day, I would hold a press conference with journalists who wanted to ask questions via Mr. Blushi's phone, which is officially registered and from the detention center's phone, which is normally tapped 24 hours a day.

The next day I felt guilty, because apparently, to avoid this open and transparent communication, the "defect" left all the detainees without talking to their relatives.

So I'm answering some of the most "provocative" questions.

????????̈?????????????????????????????????: Since January 2017, as Speaker of Parliament, I have denounced the launch of "Ramaforma", which spawned "Ramaduron".

So, the violation of the constitutional amendments, which were approved by 140 votes, when the first very transparent draw was made in the Assembly with balls for the election of the members of the KED.

After Rama did not like the names, he misused the US Ambassador to contest the process where EURALIUS and OPDAT experts were present the whole time.
This also brought my first public reaction to this undermining statement towards the process, as it was based on a lie that the Prosecution had allegedly manipulated the selection of its candidacy.
For this, I also took an official position as Speaker of Parliament, addressed not only to him as Ambassador, but also to the Department of State, the Secretary of the time, Mr. Tillerson.

After the conciliatory intervention of Ms. Arta Dade, I agreed to meet him and he apologized, but the socialists had “lied” to him.
This story, as you know, continued endlessly until the country was left without a Constitutional Court and the ambassadors were always “lied” by the socialists and a little later by Charles McGonigal.

So the history of the capture of the entire justice system and courts is very old and I have denounced all the serious violations of the Constitution (such as the election of the Prosecutor General with 69 votes out of the 84 that the Constitution has) to the oath of a member of the Constitutional Court at the notary in Lana.

This battle only delayed the capture of the Constitutional Court after the positive intervention of the Venice Commission.
Therefore, we are forced to exhaust all levels of domestic courts, including the Constitutional Court, to go to the Strasbourg Court.

????????̈?????????????????????????????????: Read the full 32-page material that SPAK sent to the GJKKO, where there is nothing new during these 8 months of my arrest in custody, except for the final refutation that SPAK itself makes of the slander published in Soros' "Mother Jones" in 2017, that the LSI had allegedly paid almost $1 million from Cyprus to the "Dorelita Group" of the "McKeon Group", so that I would allegedly take a photo that was never requested with President Trump.

SPAK knew the truth very well, because I have proven this to them with facts and documents for 2 years, that only a payment of $15,000 was made to the "McKeon Group" by decision of the SMI Presidency and declared to the CEC and FARA (USA).

Everything else is a fabrication sponsored very expensively by the Narcoregime and happily accepted by SPAK itself to justify the order for my kidnapping.

?????????̈????????????????????????????????????: There are 2 main reasons in my opinion, because SPAK knows very well that if those differences are true (i.e. between FARA and the CEC), they have no connection to my activity during the period as Chairman of the LSI until April 2017, where every agreement or payment, such as in the "McKeon Group" case, was approved by the Chairmanship and someone was authorized to pay.

Likewise, SPAK knows very well that I have neither authorized anyone nor was I aware of any such payments that may have occurred.

SPAK says, on page 103 of the indictment against me, that the GSIS company entered into an agreement with LSI signed by one of its directors (not Ilir Meta).

Likewise, it states below that GSIS LLC, in the financial transactions report for the period January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2017, sent invoices to LSI in the amount of USD 589,024.57, the invoices that LSI paid amounted to $463,546.

Since it is indisputable that I was never aware of such an amount nor could I authorize illegal actions, moreover, this is a highly exaggerated amount for those services requested or reported.

He said that before the agreement with GSIS was officially signed by LSI, there was a letter from GSIS addressed to President Meta, where it was written about the discussed goals of the agreement that had been previously negotiated to be reached.

This answer is very funny, because before an agreement was approved in advance, of course its goals and terms would be discussed in advance by the parties (as with any agreement).

And of course, such an agreement was approved by the SMI Presidency, as the indictment itself mentions on page 103 of the indictment.

And this agreement was official and filed according to the laws and signed by a head of the LSI. ????

But as in the case of the “McKeon Group”, these manipulations will also be clarified, so SPAK endlessly postpones the investigations because the trial on the merits cannot be closed. But also ????

How could I do or tolerate such actions with the US and in the US, when not only did I know what had happened to "Bilal's wife", but also when I started my first day as Prime Minister at the age of 30 with a conflict with a US ambassador, who pressured me on behalf of the US to sign an agreement with "New World Telecom", an off-shore company that wanted our Telecom for free, something for which there was a previously signed letter of understanding, but which was rightly opposed by the Ministers of the time, Bufi and Angjeli.

????????̈??????????????????????????????: Initially we had many clashes, but when I asked him to bring me the request officially from the State Department, he withdrew.
Other consequences were positive, such as the visit of Secretary Allbright in February 2000, and above all the Albanian state gained from the privatization of Albtelekom almost $ 200 million, which would have been forgiven for "qoka".

SPAK knows very well the history of lobbying and the role of certain people who were once in the LSI, and now converted to Rilindas.

Opponents of "Ramaduro" are politically penalized, without facts, and those responsible for the violations and their collaborators are taken into "collaboration" and "protection".

?????????̈?????????????????????????????????: First of all, I want to express my deep gratitude to many loyal and characterful friends with the surname Braimllari, from the founders of LSI in 2004 to Elisedi, who was not born then and is among the most active young people today.

Endriti is the case when he publicly mocks SPAK after being "promoted" by Ramaduro to the Vice President of the Council, which does not exist, like the Tirana incinerator itself.

My reaction came when I heard Ola Bruko say live, without blushing, that he had neither been summoned to SPAK nor had he signed up for the LSI lobbying.

I couldn't believe my ears, because for the first time, I learned the name of Mr. Sotir Kllapi from Endrit Braimllari in Jalë, at the end of August 2022, when I had returned to the leadership of the Freedom Party.

That day, Fuga's office spread the news that SPAK had opened an investigation into me to verify whether I had lied about my last name, with or without a "J", because the State Security file on me had been fabricated.

"Who is this Sotir Kllapi?" I asked, because the news was that he was dealing with this "major" issue.

"I know him," said Endriti, "that he has two surnames for himself, that we are the same age and have been friends, but he has completely transformed."

Why am I asking? "Yes," he said, "this was when they called me to SPAK to ask me about lobbying, and it was very difficult for me."

What problems do they raise about lobbying, I ask?

"Nothing, boss, those slanders from Rama's people. We have done everything according to the laws and with the CEC," he replied.

Even though I have a terrible memory, I said to myself without even looking at the file where I was named as a defendant.

Not one signature, but three signatures belonged to Endrit Braimllari in that file.

The best part, on page 117, where the signatures of three prosecutors are also present, when asked about a $20,000 invoice that he had authorized in 2018-2019 to pay a company, he did not remember the reason for the transfer of the amounts, nor did he know if there was a contract between LSI and the company, and that he did not even know who the person in charge of monitoring the progress of the contracts that LSI had with the company that he authorized payments with his signature was.

I still remember to this day how $15,000 was paid to the "McKeon Group" at the Presidency meeting and the person authorized by the Presidency to make the payment to the bank, according to the law, was reported to the CEC.

What more important job did he have at that time, 2018-2019, when he was the General Secretary of the SMI, that I didn't remember why he signed a $20,000 bill?
While now, after converting to a rilindas, he lies publicly on TV and says he was neither called to SPAK nor signed for lobbying.

While with Eriol Braimllari, his cousin, we have the case where SPAK makes fun of itself, that is, SPAK.

In the absurd 32-page report, sent to the Court to justify my extreme detention, SPAK uses witness Eriol Braimllari, who allegedly refutes my claims that I have no connection with Adrian Shatku, as this witness stated that he first met Adrian Shatku in January 2017, when he was in the US with me as Speaker of the Assembly.
He also states that he met Adrian Shatku at least once.

First of all, this statement is meaningless because I have been explaining the circumstances of my acquaintance with Adrian Shatku for two years.

But the problem is that this Erioli, on page 112 of the file of my admission as a defendant, it is clearly stated by SPAK itself several times, directly and indirectly, that Eriol Braimllari not only accompanies John Moreirin continuously in Albania since 2013, proven and confirmed by SPAK, who is sent by Adrian Shatku, but also accompanies him to the Rogner Hotel, where according to SPAK, it again turns out that A. Shatku paid.

I mentioned these incoherences of SPAK, just to show how it plays politically by using liars, whom it exposes itself, while it is known by everyone in the LSI that Eriol Braimllari has met dozens of times with Adrian Shatku both in Tirana and in the US since before January 2017.

Likewise, it is known that he maintained all communications with the lobbying companies that A. Shatku had brought in.

It is also known that he was with Endrit at the vote counting for the Socialist Party after May 11 now. Unfortunately, ????????̈ ?????

Now they have no choice but to accuse me of also being a beneficiary of the incinerators with the "evidence" that Mr. Lefter Koka was a Minister appointed by the SMI and it is impossible that he signed without my knowledge.

And mentioning Mr. Lefter Koka, I want to remember my meeting after the 2013 elections with him at the Osman Club in Maminas, when I told him that he should be very careful as a Minister with the law, especially with a Prime Minister like Rama, for whom the law does not matter.

I have given this message to all the people to whom we have entrusted responsible tasks or who have worked closely with me.

I have been telling my children this message tirelessly since they were little. ???

I read in Ilir Ikonomi's book about Fan Noli, that when one of his opponents complained to him about why he had put him in prison when he was Prime Minister, Fan Noli told him that in Albania an honest Albanian must be in prison once.

But when it's not Fan Noli who puts you in prison, but a master thief in boots, you're much more honorable.

There are many political figures who have made prison their "university" and have returned stronger even at a much older age, as is the case with President Lula in Brazil.

The important thing is to turn every day into an investment for the future and not repeat the mistakes of the past.

I have been clear about this from the beginning, as independent justice cannot be expected from "Ramaforma" and "Ramaduros".

Many international institutions have also emphasized the use of the judiciary as a political weapon.

But here the problem is bigger.

All the absurd repressive measures come because these fools think that I will remain silent and will not continue my battle to restore the freedom and rights of all Albanians who are intimidated in various forms by Ramaduro.

It is enough to look at the situation in prisons to understand the bankruptcy of justice.

Over 2/3 of the prison population are detained for statistics.

Many of them are not questioned even though they may have been here for a year or two.

Look at the case of Mr. Arben Ahmetaj, who postponed the investigation for the fourth time because they lacked evidence to bring him to trial.

Then why did they want to arrest him 2 years ago? Or for the "vibrator"?

Why will they cover the incinerator with a "vibrator"?

Over 150 thousand files are in stock in the courts. A simple case takes up to 15 years. Therefore, dismantling Ramaforma is a necessity for the elimination of Ramaduro.

Protest and reaction are needed everywhere.

Foreigners accept any regime that Albanians accept.

Meanwhile, we have seen the corrupting power of "Ramaduro" as in McGonigal and full of ambassadors and diplomats.

Their repressive measures convince me more to strengthen my efforts to eradicate this cruel junta that knows neither law nor Kanun, but only treachery and hostage-taking.

The Freedom Party has had a very clear program for the next two decades since the historic Convention of April 27, 2024.
Freedom from nepotism, despite its short-term consequences, has guaranteed it a long-term breathing space that must be accompanied by a more efficient reorganization under the conditions of the Narcoregime.
