Road collapses, 5 villages in Martanesh risk being isolated

Five villages in the Martanesh Administrative Unit in the Municipality of Bulqiza are at risk of being isolated.

Damage to a hydroelectric power plant pipeline has caused the road connecting them to Krasta to crack and become almost impassable.

Residents protested this Tuesday, demanding immediate intervention from the authorities so that the collapse does not continue.

They say that they have been notifying the company and responsible institutions for at least 6 days, but so far no action has been taken by the authorities who ignore the community's concerns.

The mayor of Gjon village, Kasem Muça, says he has notified all institutions but so far there has been no intervention.

The road in question was paved only two years ago and connects the villages of Gjon, Peshk, Val, Lenë and Balenj with the town of Krastë.
