Tragic in England, tree falls on 5 Albanian children, 7-year-old girl loses her

A tragic event has shocked the community of Southend-on-Sea in Essex, England, where a 7-year-old Albanian girl has died and another is in critical condition after a tree suddenly fell on them in a seaside park on Saturday afternoon.

According to local police , the incident occurred at around 3pm in Chalkwell Park, where authorities were called to reports of several injuries.

Five children were in the area where the tree fell at the time of the incident. Two of them, girls aged 7 and 6, suffered serious injuries and were rushed to University Hospital Southend. The 7-year-old girl did not survive her injuries and died in hospital. The other girl is in a critical condition and is being treated by doctors.

Chief Inspector Leighton Hammett of Essex Police described the incident as extremely shocking:

“The families are facing unimaginable hardship this evening and all our thoughts are with them. I cannot put into words how difficult today’s events have been and continue to be for them. I also cannot imagine how traumatic it must have been for members of the public who witnessed this horrific incident.”

Essex Police have urged the public to avoid the Chalkwell Park area while specialists and environmental experts are examining the causes of the tree's fall.
