Socialist deputy, Tonin Gogu, has fallen 'prey' of a blunder. Gogu has described Hajred Pasha as the hero of all the people of Dibran, referring to the song dedicated to the battles against the Ottoman Empire.

"170 years of song and glory, dedicated to Hajredin Pasha, the hero of all Dibrani. One of the dedications that has been inherited between generations and continues to evoke the same emotions", wrote Gogu on Facebook.

As if this was not enough, the socialist adds to the gaffe the hashtags created in the name of the former Ottoman general Pasha #hajredinpasha #hero #song #dibra #history. 

After the post started to go viral in the media, Gogu corrected the post, making it "170 years of song and glory dedicated to Dibra heroes. One of the dedications that has been passed down from generation to generation continues to evoke the same emotions."

In fact, Hajredin Pasha, even for Gogu who does not know, was not a hero for the people of Dibran. Hajredin Pasha was a former general sent in 1844 by the Ottoman Empire to conquer Albania.

The army led by the infamous general Hajredin Pasha, marched from Thessaloniki to Skopje, Gostivar, Grykë e Radikes, Gjoricë. Hajredin Pasha encountered the first resistance in Reka where the inhabitants caused 3000 killed and wounded.

The second settlement was made in Gjorica of Dibra, on the edge of the Black Drin, on July 25, 1844.
