Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced the opening of "Rruga e Arbërit". As he had warned, this road axis would be opened on the Liberation Day celebration. Rama has chosen to wish this day with a video from the finished road.

The works for "Rruga e Arbërit" started in the summer of 2009 and lasted more than 12 years. The construction of this infrastructural work is considered important for the citizens, but also with a positive impact on the economy.

This axis will shorten the road to Klos by 70 km. Now the distance Tirana-Klos is only 35 km. The road passes through six tunnels and has two bridges.

The Vasha Bridge is the highest in the Balkans, 250 meters long and 158 meters high.
