Violence against an official in Bulqiza? Xhelal Mziu reacts: He threatened citizens, the police manipulated the incident and refused to report it

The police reported violence against Kalosh Murra, an official in Bulqiza, by parliamentary candidate Xhelal Mziu and his nephew. The democrat himself has reacted to the case.

Mziu explains that in all the meetings he has held in Dibër, socialist officials have attempted to intimidate citizens who have participated in DP meetings. He states that Kalosh Murra also went around intimidating citizens on the day of the meeting in Ostren.

Mziu added that, as the economic aid worker in the Bulqiza Municipality, Kaloshi has threatened citizens with the interruption of economic aid.

Mziu further explains that he tried to explain Kaloshi with words, but the intervention of other socialists led to a clash. He calls on SPAK to seize the footage.

REACTION:

Based on the political statements of the Dibra district police regarding the incident that occurred yesterday in Ostren, Bulqiza, we clarify that the situation was totally different from what the police stated.

First of all, I want to tell you that in every meeting I have held in the Dibra region, the local structures of the Socialist Party with the Heads of administrative units, economic aid workers, representatives of education, health, police, etc. structures have constantly intimidated and threatened citizens not to come to our meetings, or to leave when they are spotted at these meetings. There are dozens of citizens of this region who have expressed these concerns to me not only as an opposition candidate, but also as a member of parliament.

These arrogant and criminal behaviors of officials and representatives of the Socialist Party increased even more in recent days, in the meetings held yesterday in Trebishte at 09:00 and even worse in Ostren at 11:30.

At the Ostren meeting, in a demonstrative manner, the economic assistance worker at the Bulqizë Municipality was intimidating the participants, with some leaving after these threats and others expressing concern about the removal of economic assistance.

After the concern raised by the residents of this area themselves, I communicated with the person in question who was standing in front of the meeting place, and I asked him not to intimidate the citizens, and even more so not to use his job position to blackmail the citizens by removing economic assistance in case of support and voting for the Democratic Party. I even warned him that I would report his illegal actions to the Prosecutor's Office. After warning him about his denunciation, the person in question joked with representatives of the Socialist Party and the Candidate of this force, who were a few meters away, which confirms that everything was staged and organized to blackmail the citizens.

A few minutes before the meeting of the opposition representatives, Jeton Dani, the father of the SP candidate, and his supporters arrived and exercised barbaric violence against the chairman of the Bulqiza PD Forum. To quell the conflict, the chairman of the Bulqiza PD, lawyer Shaqir Manjani, intervened and was hit in the back.

The behavior of the Police raises doubts about their knowledge or involvement in this event, as they not only manipulated the event and spread false information, but also refused to receive the denunciation of the leaders of the Bulqizë PD.

We call on SPAK to seize camera footage in the area, and to investigate the incident where the chairman and representative of the Bulqizë PD were raped.

The police's involvement in the criminal incident of attacking the opposition is further compounded by the fact that the Dibra Police Director has family ties to Jeton Dani, the father of the Socialist Party candidate.

We call on municipal and police employees not to intimidate and threaten citizens.

We assure the citizens of Bulqiza and all of Dibra that these manipulations by the Socialist Party and the state police will not scare us.
