Këlliçi: We are not campaigning to make Berisha Prime Minister/Analyst: You better not say it

Këlliçi: We are not campaigning to make Berisha Prime

The leading Democrat, Sali Berisha, even if he wins, will not be the prime minister.

It was the Democratic candidate Belind Këlliçi invited to Opinion, the one who revealed that Berisha will not be prime minister even if the DP wins the May 11 elections.

Asked by moderator Blendi Fevziu why Berisha will not be prime minister when he is doing all this campaigning, Këlliçi replied that the goal of the leading democrat is not the position of prime minister, but the removal of Edi Rama from the government. According to Këlliçi, Berisha himself has stated that the democrats will be the ones who will decide after winning the elections who will be the prime minister.

Excerpts from the discussion:

Këlliçi: We are not in the race on May 11 to make Berisha prime minister.

Fevziu: But if the DP wins, who will become prime minister?

Këlliçi: The democrats themselves decide, Berisha said so. Berisha has a mission and the historical circumstances, the political circumstances, forced Berisha to return, to unite the DP, to remove this model of governance. Berisha is not here for a personal career, he is not here for ego, he is not here for ambition. Berisha, all the things in the history of this country, Berisha has done.

Fevziu: Is this statement a statement or your opinion?

Këlliçi: This statement is a statement by Belind Këlliçi, the political leader of the Tirana district.

Haxhiu: You'd be better off not saying it at all.
