DP denounces the mayor of Maliq, Gëzim Topçiu, to SPAK

The Democratic Party has filed a complaint with the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) against the mayor of Maliq, Gëzim Topçiu.

According to Ivi Kaso, Topçiu is involved in illegal and abusive electoral activities.

At the center of the denunciation are three main accusations: electoral asphalt, electoral tenders, and temporary employment in the function of the election campaign.

The DP emphasizes that these actions constitute a flagrant violation of the law and use of public resources for political gain.

 "This is a clear scheme to misuse public funds on the eve of the elections to influence voters and strengthen the positions of the ruling majority," the DP's response states.

The Democratic Party has asked SPAK to immediately launch investigations and bring to justice all those who have contributed to what it calls "a large-scale electoral scandal."
