Maldrita Bardho, the SP candidate in the May 11 elections in the Fier Region, was appointed today to the position of deputy mayor in the Municipality of Lushnja with the 'blessing' of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Balluku himself announced the news on social media, writing, "At the Lushnja Municipal Council, we introduced the new deputy mayor, Maldrita Bardho, one of the most dignified candidates for deputy in this year's elections, a model of citizenship and commitment to the community."
More like a deserved position, this appointment seems like a reward for Bardho, after "forgiving" the mandate of the MP, Zegjine Çaushi.
In the May 11 elections, Zegjine Çaushi managed to win the 12th mandate of the Socialists in Fier with 4,674 preferential votes in total, while behind her, the one who lost the mandate was Maldrita Bardho with 4,610 votes. So, the difference between them was only 64 votes.
