Rama prepares a 'confidential' draft for Kosovo: Valid for dialogue

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a conference for journalists, dedicated to the situation in Kosovo.

Although from Bratislava he appeared calmly next to President Aleksandër Vucic, Rama said that he has sent a draft for the Association of Municipalities to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron.

"Yesterday I sent Macron and Scholz a draft for the Association of Serbian Municipalities. It is a confidential document and does not claim to be the ideal solution, but I assure you that it is a top-level document that takes into account the reasons for the association. I wish and hope that this material will be useful to take the dialogue to another level and make the parties talk about concrete things, and not to themselves and for themselves. The reason why I share it publicly today is because the situation is becoming alarming and I cannot remain a spectator" , declared Rama.

Asked why in Bratislava he appeared more calm about the situation that today he calls alarming, Rama said that he is more worried about the shrinking of Kosovo in the eyes of the allies.

"I'm not worried about what other people worry about. But I am very worried about the shrinking of Kosovo, in the eyes of the allies. Which can have incalculable consequences in many aspects. Starting from the increase of troops in Kosovo. It means reducing the sovereign capacity of Kosovo. Or the loss of Kosovo in terms of an opportunity to fully integrate the north into its own institutional life, paving the way for the north to take control of your troops. I am very worried about this" , added Rama.
